Nishta is a capacity building program for "Improving the Quality of School Education through Integrated Teacher Training". It also aims to build skills between all teachers and school principals at an early stage. Activists (at state, district, block, cluster level) will be trained seamlessly on education outcomes, school-based assessment, learner-centered pedagogy, new teaching initiatives, addressing different needs of children through multiple lectures, etc. This will be done by forming National Resource Groups (NRGs) and State Resource Groups (SRGs) at the national and state levels which will then train 42 lakh teachers. A robust portal/management information system (MIS) for the delivery of training, monitoring and support mechanisms will also be used in this capacity-building initiative.

The program aims to develop the capacity of the State Council for Educational Research and Training (SCERT), District Education and Training Institutes (DIETs), the capacity of approximately one lakh participants covering all teachers and school heads at the primary level in all government schools. ) As well as Block Resource Coordinator and Cluster Resource Coordinator in all States and Union Territories.
Implementation
The training will be conducted directly by 33120 Key Resource Persons (KRPs) and State Resource Persons (SRPs) identified by the State and Union Territories, which in turn will be trained by 120 National Resource Persons identified by the National Council for Educational Research and Training (NCERT). ), National Educational Planning and Administrative Institution (NIEPA), Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS), Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), NGOs and UNICEF.
The purpose of this training is to encourage and equip teachers to encourage and promote critical thinking in students, to handle different situations and to act as first level advisors. They will focus on various aspects related to ICT and develop their skills in teaching-learning, including learning outcomes, aptitude-based learning and testing, study-focused pedagogy, school safety and security, personal-social qualities, inclusive learning, and artificial intelligence. Enjoyable learning methods including health and wellness yoga, library, eco club, youth club, kitchen garden, school leadership qualities, environmental concerns, pre-school, pre-vocational education and school based assessment. Quality training packages with modules related to the above areas have been developed by NCERT and NIEPA. States and Union Territories may refer to training modules and use their own materials and resource persons, taking into account the core themes and expected outcomes.
